Tīna Laura Graudiņa, born on March 9, 1998, in Riga, Latvia, has established herself as a prominent figure in beach volleyball. Her career began with notable success in junior international competitions, securing gold at the 2015 U18 European Championship with Paula Neciporuka and the 2016 U22 European Championship with Anastasija Kravčenoka. These early achievements set the foundation for her professional trajectory, positioning her as a promising talent in the sport. Her heritage also connects her to athletic excellence, with her grandfather, Artūrs Graudiņš, and grandmother, Staņislava Spruženiece, both being Latvian high jump champions.
Graudiņa’s collegiate career at the University of Southern California (USC) was marked by numerous accolades and an impressive performance record. She was a four-time AVCA All-American and a three-time Pac-12 Player of the Year. Throughout her time at USC, she achieved a remarkable 91–8 career record in dual matches. Notably, Graudiņa led USC to back-to-back NCAA women’s beach volleyball championships in 2021 and 2022. Her skill and leadership were evident in her partnerships, earning Pac-12 Pair of the Year with Abril Bustamante in 2019, Megan Kraft in 2021, and Hailey Harward in 2022.
Internationally, Graudiņa has made significant contributions to Latvian beach volleyball. Partnering with Anastasija Kravčenoka, she became the first Latvian women’s pair to qualify for the Olympic Games, competing in Tokyo 2020 (held in 2021) and Paris 2024. At the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, she finished fourth and was recognized as the best all-around scorer. Her senior career includes gold medals at the 2019 and 2022 European Championships with Kravčenoka, as well as multiple medals on the World Beach Pro Tour. She was named the 2018 FIVB Top Rookie and was part of the 2019 FIVB Most Improved Team, demonstrating continuous growth and impact in global competitions.
