Retired Netball player Tracey Neville played for England in the 1998 and 2002 Commonwealth Games. Neville became a head coach for the England’s national netball team once she retired. As the England team coach for the 2018 Commonwealth Games, she led the team to victory against Australia
Neville began playing netball at the age of fourteen, talented enough to play at county level.
In 1993 Neville first represented her country building up her aptitude until she made the Commonwealth Games. Fifteen years after her first game for England, a serious knee injury meant she had to retire from playing professionally. Neville focused on her coaching as well as raising the profile of netball as a sport. In 2015 she became the interim coach of England’s netball team and went on to become permanent later that year. As well as her victory as a coach during the Commonwealth Games, at the 2019 World Cup, she also coached England to a bronze medal, before retiring.
Neville is part of a hugely sporty family; being a twin and younger sister to former England players Phil Neville and Gary Neville, as well as daughter to professional cricketer Neville Neville.
