Trent Frederic

Trent Frederic is an American professional ice hockey forward with a career spanning collegiate and National Hockey League (NHL) play. After being drafted by the Boston Bruins as the 29th overall pick in the first round of the 2016 NHL Entry Draft, Trent Frederic went on to build a compelling career as an American professional ice hockey forward. Committing to the Wisconsin Badgers for the 2016–17 season, Frederic delivered an exceptional freshman year, leading the team with 15 goals and 33 points in 30 games. His stellar performance earned him the Big Ten Freshman of the Year title in 2017 and the Badgers’ MVP, recognized with the Spike Carlson–Chris Chelios Award, the same year.

This long-term commitment underscores his value as a key forward for the organization, further establishing his significant role in the league. Adding to his accolades, Frederic was honored with the NESN 7th Player Award in 2024, recognizing his significant contributions on the ice. His commitment to high-level play also extends to international competition, where he earned a Bronze Medal at the 2018 IIHF World Junior Championship. Prior to his collegiate career, Frederic was recruited by the USA Hockey National Team Development Program in October 2013, where he spent two seasons, accumulating 19 points in 58 United States Hockey League games, laying the groundwork for his impressive professional trajectory.
