Tristan Rogers gained significant recognition for his role as Robert Scorpio on the ABC soap opera ‘General Hospital,’ where he first appeared from December 1980 until February 1992. His character’s popularity soared, becoming central to the highly-rated storyline with ‘supercouple’ Luke and Laura, whose 1981 wedding garnered an impressive 30 million viewers, marking a record in American soap opera history. Earlier in his career, Rogers appeared in Australian television, including the police drama series ‘The Link Men’ (1970) for 13 episodes and short stints in the soap operas ‘Number 96’ (1974), ‘The Box’ (1975), and ‘Bellbird’ (1977). He also featured in British films such as ‘Four Dimensions of Greta’ (1972) and ‘The Flesh and Blood Show’ (1972).
