Her career trajectory began to gain wider recognition in 2013 after a Vine clip titled “New Weave 22 Inches” went viral. Before this, Madison was active in adult films and managed a production company. She publicly shared that her entry into sex work was due to being fired from jobs because of her trans identity. Her early career also included releasing her debut album, “The New Supreme,” in 2014 under Pink Money Records, and publishing her memoir, “A Light Through the Shade: An Autobiography of a Queen,” in 2015. These early endeavors showcased her entrepreneurial spirit and candid storytelling.
Madison’s influence expanded through acting roles in films such as “Zola” (2020), where she played Hollywood, and “Bros” (2022), appearing as Angela. She also appeared in “The Perfect Find” (2023) as Greta, released on Netflix. A significant career milestone was her role as executive producer and star of “The Ts Madison Experience” (2021) on We TV, making her the first Black transgender woman to achieve this. She further cemented her presence in television by becoming a rotating regular judge on “RuPaul’s Drag Race” from season 15 onwards, and also hosted “Bring Back My Girls.” Her voice was notably sampled on Beyoncé’s 2022 album “Renaissance” in the song “Cozy,” highlighting her cultural impact.

On March 31, 2025, she opened the Ts Madison Starter House in Atlanta, a re-entry home providing support to formerly incarcerated Black trans women, aligning with Trans Day of Visibility.
