Tucker Carlson established his voice in print journalism through contributions to publications including New York magazine, Reader’s Digest, Esquire, and The Wall Street Journal after graduating from Trinity College in 1991 with a B.A. in history. He began his professional journalism career as a fact-checker for Policy Review in 1995, and later joined The Weekly Standard the same year, also serving as an opinion writer for the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette. Transitioning to broadcast, Carlson became a CNN commentator in 2000, co-hosting The Spin Room that year, and then Crossfire from 2001 to 2005, engaging in political debates.
In 2020, Carlson sold his one-third stake in The Daily Caller. Following his departure from Fox News in April 2023, Carlson swiftly expanded his independent media ventures. In 2023, he launched Tucker on X, rapidly establishing a significant audience for his commentary. Building on this momentum, he further diversified his content offerings with the debut of The Tucker Carlson Show podcast in 2024, continuing to reach a broad and engaged audience across multiple digital platforms.
