Vincent Luis, born on June 27, 1989, in Vesoul, France, embarked on his triathlon career in 2005. His early years in the sport were marked by significant achievements at the junior level, including winning the Junior European Championship and Junior World Championship in 2008. His dedication led to a strong presence in ITU competitions, securing 13 top ten positions between 2006 and 2010. Notably, he earned a bronze medal at the BG World Championships (Junior) in Hamburg in 2007 and achieved first place finishes at the European Cup in Athlone in 2008 and Quarteira in 2011. These formative years established Luis as a promising talent in the triathlon world, laying the groundwork for his future successes.
Luis steadily progressed in his career, becoming a central figure in the French Mixed Relay Team, which has won multiple world titles. A significant turning point in his professional career came in 2019 when he was crowned World Champion, a title he successfully defended in 2020 at the World Championships in Hamburg. His Olympic journey includes participation in the 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics.
