Will Skelton

Will Skelton debuted in Super Rugby with the Waratahs in 2013, quickly establishing himself as a formidable lock. After joining Sydney University in 2010 and being inducted into the Waratahs Academy and ARU National Academy in 2011, he made his first Super Rugby appearance against the Stormers in 2013. That same year, he played against the British and Irish Lions in June. Skelton’s impressive form led to his Test debut for Australia in 2014 against France, where he scored a try in a dominant 39-13 victory and earned his Wallaby Number 883.

He was a pivotal member of the Waratahs team that secured the Super Rugby title in 2014 and later participated in the 2015 Rugby World Cup. In 2016, Skelton transitioned to European rugby, joining Saracens on a short-term deal that developed into a highly successful tenure. During his time with the club, he contributed significantly to four Heineken/European Rugby Champions Cup victories, winning titles in the 2016/17 and 2018/19 seasons. He further cemented his reputation by helping Saracens claim two Premiership Rugby victories in 2017/18 and 2018/19, showcasing his profound impact on the elite European stage.

Demonstrating his ongoing influence at the highest level of the sport, Skelton is set to appear in the second and third Tests against the British & Irish Lions in 2025, further solidifying his legacy as an internationally recognized rugby union lock, currently competing professionally with La Rochelle and representing Australia as part of the Wallabies.
