Zerlina Maxwell

Zerlina Maxwell was born on November 16, 1981. She pursued higher education, earning a J.D. degree from Rutgers Law School and a B.A. in international relations from Tufts University. Her early career involved political engagement, serving as a field organizer for the 2008 Barack Obama presidential campaign. This initial experience in political activism laid the groundwork for her future roles in media and political analysis.

Maxwell advanced her career in political communications, becoming the director of Progressive Media for the 2016 Hillary Clinton campaign. Following her work in campaigns, she transitioned into media, where she currently serves as the director of Progressive Programming for SiriusXM. She also hosts a weekly radio show on SiriusXM, titled “Signal Boost,” demonstrating her consistent presence in political discourse. In 2017, she interviewed Hillary Clinton for a SiriusXM Progress Town Hall, further solidifying her role as a prominent voice in political discussions. In October 2020, Maxwell launched her own daily news show, “Zerlina,” on Peacock TV, expanding her reach to a broader audience. She concluded her show and left MSNBC on September 15, 2022.
