DJ Spen teams up with The Random Rave Project for Behind The Headphones series | News | PR | MN2S

The classic house maestro linked up with TRRP for the latest edition of their interview series.

The Random Rave Project are a London-based “multifaceted events company”, a project that began as a promotions operation but has now grown into a record label, artist management agency and digital media platform that spotlights underground electronic music. The RRP run a weekly interview series, Behind The Headphones, which has seen the likes of Richy Ahmed, Steve Lawler and Francesca Lombardo offer “an intimate peek into the artist behind the headphones.” DJ, producer and former member of The Basement Boys DJ Spen dropped by for the latest edition, answering questions that reveal his opinions on the state of modern dance music while diving into his rich history within the US house and hip-hop scenes.

“Dance music is a unifier. It unifies different cultures, different races, different ethnicities […] I don’t think any other genre has the ability to bring together so many people – dance music has definitely done that.”
