Ace of Base, the iconic Swedish pop group, achieved global recognition in the 1990s, selling over 30 million albums worldwide and establishing themselves as the third most successful Swedish band after ABBA and Roxette. Comprised of Ulf Ekberg, Jonas Berggren, Linn Berggren, and Jenny Berggren, the groups breakthrough arrived in 1992 with their debut single ‘Wheel of Fortune’ gaining traction in Denmark. This was quickly followed by the international smash hit ‘All That She Wants,’ which topped charts in Denmark and subsequently across Europe. The immense success of ‘All That She Wants’ led to the rapid release of their debut album, ‘Happy Nation,’ in November 1992 across Europe through Mega Records.
Though largely inactive since 2012, the group has continued to engage their fanbase through various projects and acknowledgments. They reunited for live performances at Night of the Proms in Belgium in 2005 and embarked on the ‘Ace of Base – Redefined!’ world tour from 2008-2009. More recently, Ace of Base released the compilation album ‘Hidden Gems’ in 2015 and the comprehensive 12-disc box set ‘All That She Wants: The Classic Collection’ in 2020, commemorating their 30th anniversary. In 2024, their enduring legacy was further recognized with an induction into the prestigious Swedish Music Hall of Fame, alongside the premiere of a three-part documentary series, ‘All That She Wants.’
