Born and raised in Brazil, Alison’s journey into beach volleyball began in a rather unexpected manner. Initially a player in the indoor volleyball circuit, he transitioned to the sandy courts at the age of 16, becoming a training partner for none other than José Loiola. Despite his raw talent, Alison faced initial challenges adapting to the nuances of beach volleyball, earning the playful moniker “Mammoth” due to his imposing stature reminiscent of the character from the movie Ice Age.

However, Alison’s journey was just beginning. In 2011, he made a significant mark on the international stage by clinching the Swatch FIVB World Tour title in Prague alongside Emanuel Rego. This triumph was followed by a stellar performance at the 2012 Summer Olympics, where he secured the silver medal, showcasing his burgeoning talent.
