Allie K. Miller launched IBM’s first multimodal AI team, becoming the youngest woman at the time to lead the development of an artificial intelligence product. In this foundational role, Miller oversaw product strategy for computer vision, conversational AI, data, and regulatory aspects for numerous companies, demonstrating her early leadership in complex AI environments. Following her impactful tenure at IBM, Miller transitioned to Amazon (AWS), where she served as Global Head of AI for Startups and Venture Capital.
During her time at AWS, she provided crucial counsel to machine learning researchers, founders, and investors globally, playing an instrumental role in the early development and significant growth of this business unit into a substantial organization within the company. Her pioneering work in the field of artificial intelligence has garnered widespread industry recognition. Miller was named AIconics ‘AI Innovator of the Year’ in 2019, acknowledging her significant contributions to the advancement and application of AI. From 2019 to 2023, she was consistently recognized as a LinkedIn Top Voice for Technology and AI, underscoring her consistent thought leadership and influence within the global tech community.
Currently, Miller serves as the CEO of Open Machine, where she continues to drive innovation and strategic application of artificial intelligence. Her work at Open Machine focuses on guiding businesses through complex AI integration and transformation challenges, leveraging her deep interdisciplinary expertise. Miller holds an MBA from The Wharton School and a BA in Cognitive Science from Dartmouth College, where her academic pursuits encompassed machine learning, computer science, linguistics, and psychology, providing a robust foundation for her leadership in the AI domain.
