Aubrey Joseph was born in Brooklyn, New York City, New York, on November 26, 1997. He began his career in the performing arts on stage, notably taking on the role of Young Simba in the Broadway musical “The Lion King,” a part he held during 2011 and 2012. Joseph’s transition to screen acting began with his film debut in the John Turturro-directed comedy “Fading Gigolo” in 2013, followed by a role in the television movie “Death Pact” in 2014, and an appearance in “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” the same year.
