Austin Tyler White, born on August 2, 1997, in McDonough, Georgia, developed an early interest in professional wrestling, aspiring to join WWE from the age of eight, influenced by John Cena. Before his professional wrestling career, White demonstrated an aptitude for bodybuilding, placing first in the NPC Georgia Bodybuilding Championship, Teen Men category, in 2015 at 17 years old. He made his professional wrestling debut in April 2016 under the ring name Austin Theory, winning the WWA4 Heavyweight Championship.
Theory’s early career on the independent circuit included notable stints with various promotions. He debuted for Progress Wrestling in April 2017 and Full Impact Pro (FIP) in August 2016. His time with Evolve began in February 2017. Over the next few years, he accumulated several championships, including the FIP World Heavyweight Championship (won December 2017), the WWN Championship (won April 2018), and the Evolve Championship (won December 2018). He also competed internationally with Mexican promotions like The Crash Lucha Libre, where he won The Crash Heavyweight Championship in March 2019, and Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL).
In 2019, Austin Theory signed with WWE, reporting to the WWE Performance Center in August. He debuted on NXT in December 2019. His main roster debut on Raw occurred in March 2020. Theory later became a prominent figure on the roster, winning the WWE United States Championship twice and the 2022 Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match. A significant career highlight was his victory over John Cena at WrestleMania 39. He has also held the WWE Tag Team Championship with Grayson Waller as part of the tag team “A-Town Down Under,” solidifying his position as a versatile and accomplished competitor in WWE.
