Bill Chott is a versatile actor and comedian recognized for his work in television series such as “Wizards of Waverly Place” and “This Is Us,” and films like “Galaxy Quest.” After immersing himself in Chicago’s improvisational theater scene in 1992, training at ComedySportz, IO Theater, and Second City, Bill Chott established himself alongside collaborators like Steve Carell, Stephen Colbert, Tina Fey, and Amy Poehler. His professional career launched in 1995 with his television debut on ‘The Dana Carvey Show,’ where he showcased his comedic talent. Chott notably lent his voice as the announcer for ‘The Ambiguously Gay Duo,’ animated shorts that became a recurring segment on ‘Saturday Night Live,’ a show to which he also contributed as a writer. Chott expanded his filmography with roles in major productions, appearing in ‘Galaxy Quest’ (1999), ‘Dude, Where’s My Car?’ (2000), and as Thomas in ‘The Ringer’ (2005).
Continuing his strong television presence, Chott gained recognition for his role as ‘The Mailman’ in the critically acclaimed series ‘This Is Us’ in 2017, and appeared as Dean/Franklin in ‘Young Sheldon’ across multiple episodes from 2018 to 2021.
