Bridget Sloan is an Olympic silver medalist, world champion, and multiple NCAA title-holder in artistic gymnastics, now sharing her expertise as a commentator and an advocate for athlete transitions. After earning an Olympic silver medal at the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics as the youngest member of the U.S. Olympic team, Bridget Sloan went on to achieve the all-around gold medal at the World Championships in London in 2009. That same year, she became the U.S.
National All-Around Champion, marking her as the fifth American woman in history to secure the world all-around title. Sloan continued her elite career, contributing to the U.S. team’s silver medal at the 2010 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships and earning a Pan American Games Team Gold Medal in 2011. From 2012 to 2016, Sloan was a pivotal member of the University of Florida Gators women’s gymnastics team.
She deferred her enrollment until Fall 2012, concluding her national team career after an elbow injury at the 2012 U.S. Olympic Trials. Following her decorated career, Sloan was inducted into the USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame in 2020. She has since transitioned her expertise to media as a commentator for the SEC Network, providing analysis and insights to a national audience.
Sloan also actively engages in initiatives that support athletes in their post-competition transitions, leveraging her leadership and extensive experience to advocate for purposeful career development beyond sport.
