Carlos Penavega

Carlos PenaVega is an American actor and singer, recognized for his roles in Nickelodeon’s ‘Big Time Rush’ and various Hallmark productions, bringing widespread appeal to family-friendly projects. After rising to prominence as a core member of the hit pop boy band Big Time Rush and starring as Carlos Garcia in the beloved Nickelodeon series from 2009 to 2013, Carlos PenaVega established himself as a multifaceted talent in music and acting. During his tenure with Big Time Rush, the band released three studio albums: ‘BTR,’ ‘Elevate,’ and ’24/Seven,’ embarking on several successful tours including the widely acclaimed Summer Break Tour. PenaVega also contributed as a co-writer on songs such as ‘Oh Yeah’ and ‘Invisible.’ His professional career began earlier, securing his first acting role with a guest appearance on ‘ER’ in 2004, followed by guest-starring roles in television shows like ‘Judging Amy’ (2005), ‘Summerland’ (2005), and ‘Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide’ (2004–2005).

In 2021, the original members of Big Time Rush reunited for highly anticipated performances, leading to the announcement of their ‘Forever Tour’ in 2022, reigniting their loyal fanbase. Continuing their creative partnership, Carlos and Alexa PenaVega co-authored the book ‘What If Love is the Point,’ released in 2022, sharing their unique perspectives on faith and life. Most recently in 2024, PenaVega demonstrated his enduring musical passion by forming a new band, ANGELS + KINGS, alongside Alex Marshall, signaling a fresh chapter in his expansive artistic journey.
