Prior to his collegiate debut, Anthony was recognized with accolades including The Baltimore Sun’s metro player of the year (2001), Baltimore Catholic League player of the year (2001), McDonald’s All-American (2002), and USBWA National Freshman of the Year (2003). Following his standout college year, Anthony declared for the 2003 NBA draft, where he was selected third overall by the Denver Nuggets. Carmelo Anthony’s illustrious NBA career spanned 19 seasons, marked by ten NBA All-Star selections between 2007 and 2017, and six All-NBA Team honors (Second Team in 2010, 2013; Third Team in 2006, 2007, 2009, 2012).
