Clancy Grandy is a supremely talented Canadian curler who currently skips her own team out of Vancouver, Canada. Grandy displayed an affinity for curling at a young age, with the true highlight of her junior career being her win at the 2011 Pepsi Ontario Junior Curling Championships. Grandy’s team went on to represent Ontario at the 2011 Canadian Junior Curling Championships, gaining noteworthy attention on the national scene. Later in the season, Grandy successfully skipped the Guelph Gryphons University curling team at both the 2011 and 2012 CIS/CCA Curling Championships.
Following her thriving juniors career, Grandy went on to form her own women’s rink in 2014 after initially playing lead for Laura Crocker’s women’s rink. This came after a short stint in mixed doubles where she competed in the 2014 Canadian Mixed Doubles Curling Trials with fellow teammate Patrick Janssen. Returning to group curling for the 2015-2016 season, Grandy and Team Flax won a World Curling Tour event – the KW Fall Classic – which set the tone for future triumphs, such as her very first Grand Slam of Curling win at the illustrious 2016 WFG Masters. After Team Flax ranked third on the CTRS standings for the 2016-2017 season, they successfully qualified for the 2017 Canadian Olympic Curling Trials. Grandy then took her game to the next level by competing at her first Canadian women’s curling championships, the 2021 Scotties Tournament of Hearts, garnering national attention. Most recently, Grandy joined the Kayla MacMillan rink for the 2022-2023 season as their new skip, where they have already taken the season by storm in their events thus far.
Outside of curling, Grandy works as a kinesiologist/performance specialist at the Complete Performance Centre. She also takes great pride in coaching up-and-coming curlers at the Jaap van Dorp rink, and is always looking for ways to share her expertise with others.
