American baker, blogger, TV host, and television personality Dan Langan has participated in and anchored a number of Food Network baking programmes.
In Pennsylvania’s Philadelphia, Langan was born. He began baking with his mother and grandma when he was a little child. He started teaching himself how to create cakes in middle school and worked as a cake decorator in a bakery while still in high school. Marymount Manhattan College awarded Langan his diploma in 2012. He launched his blog, Baked By Dan, the same year. As a finalist on Season 2 of the Spring Baking Championship, Langan made his debut on television in 2016. He then participated in Cake Wars and emerged as the overall winner. Since then, Langan has served as a judge on Chopped Sweets, Winner Cake All, Duff’s Halloween Cake Off, and Christmas Cookie Challenge.
Dan Can Bake It, a digital series on the Food Network, was created by Langan in 2018. On the programme, Langan receives a bakery box with a note and illustrations describing the week’s baking task. Dan Can Bake It’s second season debuted in January 2019. Langan joined the Food Network Kitchen app in the same year and participated in a number of on-demand cooking lessons. He made his debut as a guest on Good Morning America in December 2019. Food Network said in February 2020 that Langan would serve as a mentor and judge on Bakeaway Camp With Martha Stewart, which debuted on May 11 of that year.
