Taking the bull by the horns, Ezekiel “Blue” Mitchell is dominating the bull-riding competition. Although Mitchell has always been a cowboy, he is an exemplary sportsman. He exudes charm and prowess on and off the competition floor. By the end of 2020, Mitchell has held the 15th-rank in the world with greater ambitions to sit at the top spot. What’s more, Mitchell is making history as he is the only black bull-rider on the hunt to claim a title at the professional level of his sport. Raised between Baytown and Rockdale near Houston, Texas, Mitchell grew up as one of eleven siblings. Inspired by his favourite movie, Tombstone, Mitchell caught the cowboy bug in his early years and was rarely seen without a pair of boots to suit his dreams. Later he would be gifted his first horse, Two Socks and the rest is history.

Blazing into the ring, Mitchell is assured, deliberate and confident in his skill, and it shows. Winner of the PBR event in Ontario, California in 2018, the 2020 Pro Bull-Riders season opener, and continuously shaking up the competition wherever he goes, Mitchell is a one of a kind. With his popular Snapchat series “Life by the Horns,” Mitchell showcases his aspiring, compelling story to become the best bull rider in the world. As Mitchell continues to push the boundaries and defy expectations, he undoubtedly has a long and exciting career ahead of him.
