Guy Adami

Guy Adami was born on December 18, 1963, in North Tarrytown, New York (now Sleepy Hollow). He is the eldest of five children and graduated from Croton-Harmon High School in 1982, where he captained both the varsity football and basketball teams and earned All-League honors in both sports. Adami’s high school football career included a notable 104-yard interception return against Hastings High School, which remains one of the longest recorded in high school football. In November 2010, Adami was inducted into the Croton Harmon High School Hall of Distinguished Graduates. He continued his education at Georgetown University, graduating in 1986. On April 16, 2009, Georgetown University featured him in their “Witness to History” series.

Adami commenced his professional career in June 1986 at Drexel Burnham Lambert, working on the New York Mercantile Exchange floor. In 1996, he transitioned to Goldman Sachs’ commodity group, J. Aron, where he served as a vice president. His career progressed, and in 2003, Adami left Goldman Sachs to become an executive director at CIBC World Markets. Beyond his financial roles, Adami is also a frequent speaker at various academic institutions, including Quinnipiac University, Adelphi University, University of Richmond, Fordham University, and his alma mater, Georgetown University. He has also shared his expertise at Delbarton School in Morristown, New Jersey. In 2012, Adami joined Keppler Speakers, further solidifying his presence as a public speaker.

Demonstrating personal discipline and commitment, Adami completed the NYC Ironman event on August 11, 2012, in 16:19:52. This achievement included a 2.4-mile Hudson River swim in 1:09:03, a 112-mile bike ride on The Palisades Parkway in 8:15:05, and a 26.2-mile run in 6:27:12. His journey to becoming an Ironman was documented by The New York Times in an article titled “The Road to the Ironman” on June 24, 2012, with a follow-up piece on August 17. This endeavor also served as a fundraising initiative for the New Jersey Chapter of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, where he is a Board of Trustees member. The “Ironteam” collectively raised $681,730, surpassing their initial goal of $500,000, as announced at a Board Meeting on December 11, 2012. He is also a co-founder of RiskReversal Media, a financial media company established in 2021, and serves as the Director of Advisor Advocacy at Private Advisor Group, and as Chief Market Strategist at OptionsANIMAL since 2012.
