The amazing equestrian Henrik von Eckermann is a show jumping rider. He is an Olympic Champion, a 2x World Champion, and has won medals at the European Championships, and at the World Cup. He has also competed at the World Equestrian Games.
Born and raised in Sweden, von Eckermann started riding at a young age, and soon began competing in show jumping in individual and team events. He entered his first European Championships in 2009, and returned in 2011. He won his first medal at the competition in 2013 taking Bronze in team jumping. Two years later he went one better taking Silver, again in team jumping. In 2017 he won his first World Cup medal, taking Bonze, this time in individual jumping, repeating the feat in 2018. The same year he also claimed his first World Championships medal, taking Silver in team jumping. He claim his first Gold medals at the 2022 World Championships, winning for both individual and team jumping.
von Eckermann has also taken part in three Summer Olympics, competing at London 2012, Rio 2016, and Tokyo 2020. His best individual placements came at the delayed 2020 Tokyo Olympics when he won Gold in the team jumping, and placed 4th in the individual jumping.
