Cian O’Connor was born on November 12, 1979, in Dublin, Ireland. His career in equestrianism began early, riding in his first Nations Cup for Ireland at the age of 19. This early start established a foundation for a career marked by significant achievements in show jumping. He has represented Ireland on numerous occasions, accumulating 165 appearances for the national team throughout his career, demonstrating a sustained presence at the highest levels of the sport. O’Connor has competed in four Olympic Games, four World Championships, and six European Championships. A notable milestone early in his career was his participation in the 2004 Summer Olympics.
