The incredible equestrian Cian O’Connor is an Olympic medal-winning showjumper, coach and international horse producer. He is also a European Champion, and has won a number of CCI3*, CCI4*, and CCI5* events in Grand Prix and Senior Nations Cups. He has competed at three Olympic Games, four World Championships and six European Championships, and was a member of the Irish Teams that won the Aga Khan Trophy at the Dublin Horse show in 2004, 2012, 2015 and 2022.
Born and raised in Dublin, Ireland, O’Connor started riding at a young age. He began competing at junior and young rider events, and by the time he was 19-years-old he took part in his first Nations Cup representing his native Ireland. Since then he has gone on to achieve a remarkable record in selections for the Irish team, with over 140 appearances under his country’s flag. He won an individual Bronze at the London 2012 Olympic Games, and five-years later was a member of the Irish team that took Gold at the 2017 European Championships, where he also won Bronze in the individual jumping.
