Television and film actor Joe Nieves is known for his roles in Day Break, How I Met Your Mother, and Stuck in the Middle.

Nieves’s career started in the mid 1990’s with small roles in television shows such as Women: Stories of Passion, The X Files, and Six Feet Under. He also landed a part in popular soap opera The Young and the Restless, before winning a recurring role in NYPD Blue which he starred in across six years. He was starting to become a first pick for television series, with a major role in Day Break from 2006 to 2007 and a long running part in popular sitcom How I Met Your Mother. He starred in the show for nine years as a recurring character and it helped to make him a household name. Alongside the role he made countless appearances in television shows and films including Remembering Phil, Castle, Prime Suspect USA, CSI: NY, Grey’s Anatomy and West End. In 2013 Nieves had a recurring role in The Mentalist, again building on his reputation as a versatile and effective actor. 57 episodes of Stuck in the Middle followed from 2016 to 2018 and most recently Nieves has starred in Blue Bloods, Station 19 and All Rise.

With upcoming film Captain Tsunami’s Army currently in post production, Nieves’s career is flourishing more that 25 years after he entered the industry. He is one of the most well recognised faces in American television and remains a highly sought after actor.
