Kandy Muse, whose birth name is Kevin Gabriel Candelario, was born on November 3, 1994, in The Bronx, New York City, New York, USA. She is of Dominican and African American descent and was raised between the South Bronx and the Dominican Republic. Her career in drag began as a member of the House of Aja, a queer collective, before she became a member of the Doll Haus and later established her own House of Muse. Early in her career, in 2017, she was featured on Eureka O’Hara’s song “Body Positivity” and appeared in the music video for Velo’s “Big Dick Daddy.”

In 2021, Kandy Muse gained wider recognition as a contestant on the thirteenth season of “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” where she placed as a runner-up. During this season, she performed as a “slutty version” of LinkedIn in “Social Media: The Unverified Rusical” and impersonated Patrick Starrr in the Snatch Game episode. Her visibility increased further with her participation in “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars” season 8 in 2023, where she again achieved the runner-up position. Following this, she launched her own World of Wonder original series, “Inside the Producer’s Studio with Kandy Muse.”

Continuing her career progression, Kandy Muse has expanded her presence in reality television, starring in the second season of “House of Villains” and the upcoming series “Slaycation” in 2024. She also notably appeared as Cruella Intentions in an episode of “iCarly” in 2022. Her drag daughter, Xunami Muse, later competed on the sixteenth season of “Drag Race,” indicating Kandy’s ongoing influence within the drag community.
