During his senior year, he averaged 20.1 points and 7.5 rebounds per game and earned a selection to the prestigious Jordan Brand Classic.
His dedication in the G League quickly led to a breakthrough, signing a two-way contract with the New Orleans Pelicans on January 9, 2025. This significant signing paved the way for Brooks’ NBA debut on February 5, 2025, against the Denver Nuggets. He swiftly followed this milestone by scoring his first 4 career points on February 10, 2025, against the Oklahoma City Thunder. As of the current 2024-25 season, Brooks has played 14 games with the Pelicans, establishing himself with averages of 10.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 0.9 assists per game, demonstrating his readiness to contribute at the highest level of professional basketball.
