Modern day Scottish footballing legend – Kenny Miller, is a former forward and now football coach. The lethal striker is one of only five post-war players to have played for both Rangers and Celtic, showing that he is not afraid to ruffle a few feathers! He was known as a versatile and quick striker who was technically gifted. In his playing days, he won the Scottish Premier League four times and Scottish Cup twice. Individually, Miller was awarded the title of SPFA Young Player of the Year and won the Scottish Premier League Golden Boot.
After impressing at Hibernian, Miller signed for Scottish super power – Rangers, at a cost of £2 million. The Scot became a fan favourite scoring in major competitions such as the Champions League. In the entirety of his three spells at the club, he scored 116 goals in 301 appearances. His ability shown in his first spell at Rangers caught the attention of major clubs in England, with Miller eventually signing for Wolverhampton Wanderers, playing 191 games and scoring 63 goals during his five years with the club. Controversially, Miller then moved to Celtic, which makes him a highly unique player that has donned the shirts of both Celtic and Rangers. After a stint on the other side of Glasgow, Miller went on to feature for Derby County, Bursaspor, Cardiff City, Vancouver Whitecaps, Livingstone, Dundee and Partick Thistle.
After his long and fruitful playing career, Miller has mainly been coaching in Australia. Most recently, he is part of the coaching staff at Western Sydney Wanderers. Miller’s vast experience in the game means that he has plenty to give as a coach.
