Kyle Ahrens is a professional basketball trainer and player who rose to fame by being a strong, tough wing player – knowing when to play on the offensive as well as the defensive. Ahrens began his career in high school, averaging 20.0 points, 8.3 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game as a senior at Versailles High School, leading the Tigers to the Ohio High School Athletic Association regional tournament, falling in the district finals. Ahrens also participated in the American Family Insurance High School Slam Dunk Championship, and helped lead Versailles to the Ohio Division III state title game as a sophomore, posting a final record of 23-6. Ahrens was rated the No.36 shooting guard in the nation by ESPN100, No. 47 by 24/7 Sports and No. 25 small forward by Scout.com – which led to him becoming a National Honor Society member.
Ahrens would go on to appear in 30 games, starting eight times. His first season outside of high school resulted in a 4.7 point average and 2.5 rebounds per game, and he scored in double figures three times. In his first ever start, Ahrens played a career-high 41 minutes and scored another career-high 15 points in an overtime loss at Louisville. Ahrens was soon selected to the National Association of Basketball Coaches Honors Court, recognising mens’ basketball players who carry a grade-point average of 3. 2 or higher. Ahrens currently focuses on his coaching, and his life as a husband – posting on his Instagram to over 18 thousand followers about his family life, which is soon to feature parent-hood..
