Kyle Van Noy

Kyle Van Noy was born on March 26, 1991, in Reno, Nevada, and partially raised in Lodi, California. He attended McQueen High School in Reno, where he excelled in football as an all-state linebacker and receiver, leading his team to an undefeated 14-0 record and a 4A state championship in 2008. Beyond football, Van Noy was a multi-sport athlete, lettering in basketball, baseball, and track. He played college football at Brigham Young University (BYU), where he demonstrated consistent performance and leadership. During his freshman season in 2010, he played in every game, recording 35 tackles and 7.5 tackles-for-loss. His sophomore year in 2011 saw him lead the team with 15 tackles for loss and 7 sacks. In 2012, as a junior, he was the defensive leader for a BYU team that excelled nationally in various defensive categories, earning numerous watch list nominations for prestigious awards. He concluded his collegiate career in 2013 with 70 total tackles and 17 tackles-for-loss, having decided to stay for his senior year after being projected as a high NFL draft pick.

Van Noy was selected by the Detroit Lions in the second round (40th overall) of the 2014 NFL Draft. After an initial season impacted by injury, he consistently contributed, showcasing his versatility and defensive capabilities. In 2016, he was traded to the New England Patriots, where he became a key defensive player. His time with the Patriots marked significant career progression, including two Super Bowl victories in LI and LIII. He then played for the Miami Dolphins in 2020, followed by a second stint with the Patriots in 2021, and the Los Angeles Chargers in 2022. In 2023, Van Noy joined the Baltimore Ravens, where he has continued to perform at a high level, achieving a career-high of 12.5 sacks in the 2024 season and earning his first Pro Bowl selection. Throughout his career, Van Noy has also engaged in community work through the Van Noy Valor Foundation, established with his wife Marissa in 2014, focusing on encouraging personal valor in youth.
