The brilliant sportsman Lasse Norman Hansen is a professional road and track racing cyclist, who currently rides for the UCI ProTeam Uno-X Pro Cycling Team. He is a 2x Olympic Gold medalist, a 3x UCI Track Cycling Championship Gold medalist, and a 2x UEC European Track Championships Gold medalist.
Born and raised in Faaborg in Denmark, Hansen started cycling from a young age and then began to compete at road and track cycling. He joined his first professional team, Concordia Forsikring-Himmerland, in 2011, and then represented his nation at the 2012 London Olympics, winning Gold in the men’s omnium. Since then he has been a member of a number of professional teams, including Blue Water Cycling, Aqua Blue Sport, and Corendon-Circus, and has had a prolific medal-winning career for Denmark, appearing at eight World Championships (winning three Golds, three Silvers, and five Bronzes), at two European Championships (winning two Golds, three Silvers, and a Bronze), and at three Olympics (winning Gold at London in 2012, two Bronzes at Rio in 2016, and a Gold and a Silver at the delayed 2020 Tokyo Olympics).
