Laura Dreyfuss

Laura Dreyfuss was born on August 22, 1988, in New Jersey, USA. She pursued her education at the Boston Conservatory, where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in musical theater. Her professional stage career began with a role in the Broadway revival of ‘Hair’ (2010), initially as a swing and understudy. Following this, she became a standby and later a replacement for the character of Girl in the musical ‘Once’ (2012-2013) at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre. Her early career also included performing in ‘What’s It All About? Bacharach Reimagined’ (2013-2014) Off-Broadway at the New York Theatre Workshop.

Dreyfuss garnered significant recognition for originating the role of Zoe Murphy in the Broadway musical ‘Dear Evan Hansen’, a role she first played in its initial productions at Arena Stage (2015) and Second Stage Theatre (2016) before transferring to Broadway’s Music Box Theatre (2016-2018). Her performance earned her a Broadway.com Audience Award for Favorite Actress in a Featured Role in a Musical, among other accolades, and contributed to the show’s success, including a Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album in 2018. Following her departure from ‘Dear Evan Hansen’ in July 2018, she transitioned to television as a series regular on the Netflix series ‘The Politician’ (2019–2020), portraying McAfee Westbrook.

Her career further expanded with roles in various television series and films. She appeared as Madison McCarthy in 11 episodes of the FOX musical series ‘Glee’ in 2015. Other television credits include two episodes of ‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’ (2018) as Deecy and one episode of ‘Atlanta’ (2022) as Amber. In film, Dreyfuss played Lana in ‘After Party’ (2017) and an IVF Technician in ‘Voyagers’ (2021). She also launched a music career under the stage name Loladre, releasing her debut single “Be Great” in 2018, and has continued to release singles and EPs, including “Peaks” (2021) and “Sofia” (2024).
