Leslie Frazier

Leslie Frazier has transitioned from a Super Bowl champion player to a highly respected coach, currently serving as assistant head coach for the Seattle Seahawks, with a career marked by defensive excellence and leadership roles. After starting as a defensive back for the 1985 Super Bowl XX championship Chicago Bears team, Leslie Frazier went on to forge a distinguished career transitioning from a Super Bowl champion player to a highly respected coach. His playing career began in 1981 when he signed with the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent, playing six seasons as a defensive back. Frazier transitioned to coaching in 1988, becoming the first head coach for Trinity International University’s football program, where he led the team to two Northern Illinois Intercollegiate Conference titles.

Throughout his esteemed career, Frazier has been widely recognized for his profound contributions to the sport, earning inductions into the SWAC Hall of Fame in 2007, the Alcorn State Hall of Fame in 2012, the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame in 2017, and the Black College Football Hall of Fame in 2023.
