Lonnie Marts has transitioned from a distinguished NFL linebacker to a dedicated community leader and motivational figure. Following a decade-long career in professional football, he now focuses on youth development and leadership through his non-profit organization. After an impressive start to his professional football career, Lonnie Marts transitioned from an undrafted free agent to a distinguished NFL linebacker. Joining the Kansas City Chiefs in 1991, Marts quickly established himself, culminating in a standout 1993 season where he led the entire National Football League in forced fumbles.

Building on his extensive experience in athletic and youth development, Marts founded the Level the Playing Field Leadership Academy (LPFLA) in 2020. Based in Jacksonville, Florida, LPFLA is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and mentoring at-risk boys from fatherless families, providing crucial leadership development and life skills. Lonnie Marts continues his mission to empower the next generation, leveraging his professional background and deep commitment to community leadership to create lasting positive change.
