Luka Doncic

Luka Doncic is a globally recognized basketball player, known for his dynamic performances and multiple accolades in both European and NBA leagues. After earning MVP honors at the under-14 Vasas Intesa Sanpaolo Cup in Budapest in 2011 and at the Minicopa Endesa in 2012 while on loan to Real Madrid, Luka Doncic signed a five-year contract with Real Madrid’s youth academy in September 2012. In April 2012, he was named MVP and leading scorer at the under-13 Lido di Roma Tournament, posting 54 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists. He led Real Madrid’s under-14 team to a Minicopa Endesa victory in 2013, securing MVP.

By the 2014–15 season, Doncic helped the reserve team win Group B of the Liga EBA and earned MVP of the under-18 Next Generation Tournament in May 2015. On April 30, 2015, he made his professional debut with Real Madrid in the Liga ACB, becoming the youngest player in club history, followed by his EuroLeague debut in October 2015. During the 2016–17 season, Doncic became a regular for Real Madrid, earning multiple EuroLeague MVP of the Round honors. He was recognized with the EuroLeague Rising Star Award and ACB Best Young Player Award in 2017.

In February 2025, Doncic was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers in a prominent mid-season move, considered one of the most significant trades in American sports history, positioning him to continue his elite-level performance and impact within a new franchise.
