Luke Gazdic is a former professional ice hockey player who has transitioned to a role as a hockey analyst and corporate partnerships manager. After making his NHL debut on October 1, 2013, with the Edmonton Oilers, Luke Gazdic immediately made an impact by scoring his first NHL goal in that game. His professional ice hockey career began after being drafted 172nd overall in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft by the Dallas Stars. Prior to his significant NHL milestone, Gazdic developed his skills in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) with the Erie Otters from 2006 to 2009, and gained valuable professional experience in the ECHL with the Idaho Steelheads and in the AHL with the Texas Stars.
Continuing his extensive professional career, Gazdic joined the Calgary Flames organization in July 2017, playing for their AHL affiliate, the Stockton Heat. He concluded his impactful playing career in the AHL with the San Diego Gulls, officially retiring from professional play in June 2021.
