Mickie James

Mickie James is a highly decorated professional wrestler, an 11-time Women’s World Champion across multiple promotions, and a country music artist. After making her impactful debut on World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE)’s main roster in 2005, Mickie James quickly established herself as a formidable competitor, culminating in her first WWE Women’s Championship win at WrestleMania 22 in 2006. James began her professional wrestling career in 1999 on the independent circuit under the name Alexis Laree, gaining national exposure with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) in 2002. Notably, she became the only woman to participate in TNA’s Clockwork Orange House of Fun matches.

During this period, she also achieved success on the independent circuit, winning both the Covey Pro Women’s Championship and the MCW Women’s Championship. Expanding her creative pursuits, James launched a country music career, releasing her debut studio album ‘Strangers & Angels’ in 2010. Her second album, ‘Somebody’s Gonna Pay’, released in 2013, further solidified her musical presence by charting at number 15 on Billboard’s Heatseekers. In 2014, James was inducted into the Covey Pro Hall of Fame, and subsequently signed with Global Force Wrestling in 2015.
