Louisiana rapper OG 3Three began his career as a solo artist in 2016, not long after he and his younger brother Youngboy Never Broke Again had co-founded the Never Broke Again collective. OG 3Three had previously been involved in the music industry in more behind-the-scenes capacities. He emerged from the shadows and into the limelight with the help of songs like the menacing and booming “Murda,” as well as mixtapes such as 2018’s All Eyez on 3.
Born in 1998, OG 3Three, also known as NBA 3Three, was raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. As he was growing up, he was able to observe his younger brother Youngboy Never Broke Again’s meteoric rise to prominence as a rapper. By the time they graduated from high school, he and his friends had already established the Never Broke Again collective, which was based on Youngboy’s rising stardom. Rapping was not something that first intrigued OG 3Three; rather, he was more interested in working as a manager and administrator for the collective.
However, in 2016, OG 3Three contributed a verse to his brother’s song titled “Down Chick,” which marked his beginning as a rapper. After making guest appearances on a few additional collaborative tracks, he came out with the single “Murda” in 2017, which received a lot of positive feedback. In the same year, he distributed the mixtape 3 Point Line, and in 2018, he followed it up with two more releases: Chapter 20 and All Eyez on 3. His concentration shifted to singles over the next few years, and he issued tracks such as “Bout Whatever,” “Walk Down,” and “Whoa.” He is on Instagram @og_3three, where he has over 1.6 million followers.
