Richard Socher is a recognized leader in artificial intelligence and natural language processing, currently heading an innovative chat-search assistant platform. After earning his Ph.D. in computer science from Stanford University in 2014, Richard Socher quickly established himself as a leading innovator in artificial intelligence, receiving the best computer science Ph.D. thesis award at Stanford the same year.
Following the acquisition of MetaMind, Richard transitioned to Chief Scientist and Executive Vice President at Salesforce. In this significant role, he oversaw critical teams dedicated to fundamental and applied research, product incubation, and the development of an advanced AI platform designed for both unstructured and structured data. His leadership further solidified Salesforce’s position in the AI landscape, while his contributions to the field were also recognized by the World Economic Forum, which named him a 2016 Young Global Leader.
