Rocco Mediate has successfully transitioned from a decorated PGA Tour golfer to a prominent figure on the PGA Tour Champions, known for his resilience and multiple championship wins. After turning professional in 1985, Rocco Mediate quickly established his presence on the PGA Tour, securing six career victories. A groundbreaking achievement came in 1991 when Mediate became the first PGA Tour player to win using a long putter at the Doral-Ryder Open. He continued this early success with a win at the KMart Greater Greensboro Open in 1993, followed by additional PGA Tour titles including the Phoenix Open in 1999, the Buick Open in 2000, and the Greater Greensboro Chrysler Classic in 2002.

Mediate’s career determination was showcased vividly in the 2008 U.S. Open, where he finished as runner-up after a memorable 18-hole playoff against Tiger Woods, a performance that significantly elevated his world ranking. He added another PGA Tour win at the Frys.com Open in 2010. In 2013, Mediate transitioned to the PGA Tour Champions, making an immediate and significant impact.

Most recently, Rocco Mediate further solidified his enduring skill and competitive spirit with a victory at the Constellation FURYK & FRIENDS in 2024.
