Scott Mclaughlin

Scott McLaughlin is a decorated racing driver, renowned for his championship titles in Australian V8 Supercars and his successful transition to the NTT INDYCAR SERIES. After becoming the youngest driver to race a V8 Supercar in the 2010 Fujitsu V8 Supercar Series, Scott McLaughlin went on to secure dual championships in 2012, winning both the Dunlop V8 Supercar Series and the V8 SuperTourers Championship. His burgeoning talent continued to shine as he joined Garry Rogers Motorsport in 2013, achieving his first Supercars Championship race victory and finishing tenth in his rookie season. McLaughlin continued his impressive run with the team, then rebranded Volvo Polestar Racing, where he clinched four race wins in 2014 and secured a fifth-place standing in the championship.

In 2021, McLaughlin made a significant move to the NTT INDYCAR SERIES with Team Penske, immediately making an impact by earning the Indianapolis 500 Rookie of the Year title. His adaptation to the new format was swift, securing his first podium finish at Texas Motor Speedway in his inaugural year. The 2022 season saw him achieve three significant race victories at St. Petersburg, Mid-Ohio, and Portland, culminating in a strong fourth-place finish in the overall championship standings.

His momentum continued into 2023, where he secured a win at Barber and finished third overall, distinguishing himself as the highest-scoring Team Penske driver for the year. McLaughlin has continued to re-establish his presence at the forefront of the NTT INDYCAR SERIES in 2024. He kicked off the season with a win at Barber and notably claimed pole position for the prestigious Indianapolis 500. Further showcasing his versatility and prowess on ovals, McLaughlin added two more victories to his tally for the year at Iowa and Milwaukee, affirming his status as a top competitor in the series.
