Sebastián Javier is a pop sensation, a modern-day troubadour who is making waves all over the world. He bridges the divide between Latin and pop music, as well as between South and North America and Spanish and English. The Argentinian singer, songwriter, personality, and artist, based in Toronto, recounts his incredible journey from a warm childhood in Buenos Aires, Argentina, to a cold struggle in Kitchener, Ontario, to the brink of international stardom. Javier was surrounded by music as a child in Argentina, and was influenced by artists such as Queen, Michael Jackson, and The Beatles. He began vlogging to support himself and his mother after moving to Canada at the age of twelve. He started the influential That Spanish Boy YouTube channel, which frequently trended, and he appeared at MAGCON to gain a global audience. Simultaneously, he developed his own sonic style, fusing pop, R&B, and Latin.
Javier opened for Meghan Trainor in 2016 with his debut single Nobody But Us and Spanish language single Sequiré Aqui. Under his previous moniker, Sebastián Olzanski, Sebastián has amassed millions of hits through three world tours. In 2019, he released two singles under the Javier brand ‘Manicomio,’ a Latin pop anthem, and ‘UNA,’ a bilingual English/Spanish single. Elektra Records talented spotted Javier in 2020, and he signed with the label. Javier’s journey comes into focus on his bilingual debut EP, Bad For Me, giving a 360-degree view of his talent, with English and Spanish versions of all six tracks, including the lead singles “Bad For Me” and “Mala Para Mi.”
