Spencer Sutherland

Spencer Sutherland was born on August 31, 1992, in Pickerington, Ohio. He began his musical career in 2013, releasing his debut single “Heartstrings.” He continued to release music, including “Bad Influence” in 2015 and “Girls” in 2016. In June 2017, Sutherland was selected as Elvis Duran’s Artist of the Month, which led to his national television debut on NBC’s ‘Today’ show, where he performed his hit single “Selfish.” This single garnered over 4 million streams on Apple Music. In April 2018, his song “Work You Out” was featured in the major movie ‘Honey: Rise Up and Dance’.

Sutherland gained further recognition in 2017 as a contestant on the UK version of ‘The X Factor’, where he reached the Live Shows as part of Louis Walsh’s Boys category. He performed Marvin Gaye’s “Let’s Get It On” for his audition and James Arthur’s “Say You Won’t Let Go” in a group performance. Continuing his musical endeavors, Sutherland released three singles—”Talk,” “Tell Me,” and “Fine”—in 2018. He also supported the boy band In Real Life on their Tonight Belongs to You Tour across the United States in September 2018. In October 2018, he signed with BMG US, marking a significant step in his career.

In 2019, Sutherland released his debut EP, ‘None of This Has Been About You’, on March 15, which included the singles “Sweater,” “None of This Has Been About You,” and “Freaking Out.” He embarked on his first headlining tour, the Freaking Out Tour, from August to August 2019, with Justice Carradine as the opening act. His sophomore EP, ‘Indigo’, released in December 2020, featured the track “Wonder” which received significant playlist positioning. Spencer also transitioned into acting in 2021, appearing in the Netflix movie ‘Afterlife of the Party’ and the Amazon series ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’. He released his debut album ‘In His Mania’ in March 2023, followed by a US tour, and his second album, ‘The Drama’, a modern rock opera, in October 2024.
