Stunning Australian actress and singer Stephanie McIntosh is best known for playing Sky Mangel in the long-running soap, Neighbours, from 2003-2007, and then, following a cameo appearance as part of the show’s 30th anniversary celebrations in 2015, she returned to the show in 2020. As a singer, she released her debut album, Tightrope, in 2004. She also raises money for the Polished Man charity, an organisation which strives to end violence against children.
Born and raised in Malvern, a suburb of Melbourne, McIntosh is the daughter of ABC newsreader Sue McIntosh, as well as being the younger half-sister of Jason Donovan. She was always interested in acting and performing and made her debut in the 2001 TV movie, The Wilde Girls, playing opposite Olivia Newton-John. She landed the role of Sky Mangel in the popular soap opera Neighbours in 2003. She signed a multi-album deal with Universal Music Australia in 2004, and the two years that she spent making her debut album was turned into a reality TV show, The Steph Show. It debuted on Network Ten on 28 July 2006, the day before the release of her debut single, Mistake, and finished on 15 September 2006, the date the music video for her second single, Tightrope, was released. The debut single, Mistake, went straight to No.3 in the charts, and went gold in the first week. She appeared in two movies in 2012 and 2014, and then, after a five-year acting hiatus to raise a family, in 2020 she reprised her role in Neighbours as Sky Mangel on a recurring basis.
McIntosh regularly connects with her legions of fans and admirers through Instagram, posting photos and videos of her life both on and off the screen.
