Sunisa Lee is an Olympic gold medalist and artistic gymnast who has achieved top honors in national and international competitions, bringing both athletic prowess and relatable experiences to her engagements. After making history as the first Hmong-American Olympian and first Asian American woman to win the individual all-around title at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics (held in 2021), Sunisa Lee cemented her status as one of gymnastics’ most formidable talents. Lee’s career trajectory began to accelerate early, qualifying for elite status by age 11. She earned a spot on the junior national team in 2017, securing a gold medal with the U.S.
team at the Gymnix International Junior Cup the same year, and went on to win gold on uneven bars at the 2018 U.S. Championships. Lee commenced her senior career in 2019, where despite navigating injuries, she secured an impressive second place in the all-around behind Simone Biles at the 2019 U.S. Championships, also clinching gold on uneven bars.
