Tarjei Bø

Tarjei Bø has established himself as a distinguished biathlete, achieving Olympic and World Championship gold medals alongside numerous World Cup victories. After a remarkable performance securing gold medals across all four events entered—individual, sprint, pursuit, and relay—at the 2009 European Championships in Ufa, Russia, Tarjei Bø made his Biathlon World Cup debut on March 26, 2009, in Khanty-Mansiysk. His early international success included a gold medal in the individual discipline and a silver in the pursuit at the 2006 Junior World Championships in Presque Isle, Maine, followed by silver in both the pursuit and relay at the 2007 Junior World Championships in Martell-Val Martello, Italy, laying a strong foundation for his senior-level transition. The 2009–10 season marked Bø’s Olympic debut at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, where he secured his first senior gold medal in the 4×7.5 km biathlon relay.

The 2024 World Championships saw him add three silver medals in the 20 km individual, 4×7.5 km relay, and Mixed relay. With 15 individual World Cup victories and 44 relay victories, Bø remains an active force, continuing his participation in the Biathlon World Cup through the 2024–25 season, highlighted by a gold medal in the 4×7.5 km relay at the 2025 World Championships.
