Tina Fey is an Emmy and Golden Globe-winning actress, comedian, writer, and producer known for her impactful contributions to sketch comedy, television, and film. After being hired as a writer for NBC’s iconic ‘Saturday Night Live’ (SNL) in 1997, Tina Fey quickly rose through the ranks, becoming the show’s first female head writer in 1999. Her impactful contributions were recognized with a Writers Guild of America Award for SNL’s 25th anniversary special in 2001 and an Emmy for Outstanding Writing for a Variety, Music or Comedy Program in 2002. In 2000, Fey began performing on-screen, co-anchoring the esteemed ‘Weekend Update’ segment with Jimmy Fallon, before making history in 2004 as one half of the first female duo to co-host the segment, alongside Amy Poehler.
