Vita Lukan

Vita Lukan was born in Radovljica, Slovenia, and has been active in the sport of climbing since 2014. She quickly rose through the ranks, establishing herself as a prominent figure in the climbing community. Lukan’s early career saw her achieve significant success in youth competitions, including securing a 1st place in Lead at the IFSC Youth World Championships in Moscow in 2018. This early milestone underscored her potential and set the stage for her transition into senior-level competitions.

Throughout her career, Lukan has consistently demonstrated her abilities across various IFSC (International Federation of Sport Climbing) events. She has participated in numerous World Cups, European Championships, and World Championships, with notable performances in both Lead and Boulder disciplines. A significant turning point in her career came in 2023 when she secured her first World Cup gold medal in Lead at Briançon, France. This achievement, alongside a 3rd place finish in the Lead World Cup in Koper the same year, solidified her position as a top-tier athlete in the sport. Lukan’s career progression reflects a continuous dedication to training and competition, evident in her consistent presence in semi-finals and finals at major events.

Beyond her competition results, Vita Lukan is part of the Alpine Association of Slovenia and represents her country on the global climbing circuit. Her work achievements also include a 2nd place in Boulder at the European Championship in Zakopane in 2019, and a 2nd place in Lead at the IFSC Europe Continental Cup in Arco in 2022. Lukan’s involvement with various brands highlights her influence and reach within the climbing community, collaborating with companies such as Scarpa, Grivel, and Lapis.
