Wes Blankenship

Wes Blankenship has transitioned from broadcast journalism to a prominent role as an original content producer and host, engaging audiences through diverse multimedia platforms. After quickly demonstrating versatility as a Videojournalist at 13WMAZ beginning in January 2013, Wes Blankenship swiftly transitioned into a full-time role as a Sports Multimedia Journalist and Sports Anchor for central Georgia by late 2013. In this capacity, Blankenship anchored and reported on local sports news, developing a strong foundation in broadcast journalism and multi-platform content delivery. His early career at 13WMAZ established him as a dynamic on-air talent and proficient producer.

Following his broadcast success, Blankenship transitioned into dedicated content creation, co-hosting the ‘Shock & Ship’ podcast for the University of Georgia Athletic Association from 2020 to 2021. From March 2021 to March 2023, he served as a Talent & Content Producer for Outsider, where he replicated significant success in YouTube channel growth and social media engagement. This experience was followed by a impactful period at DawgsHQ.com for On3 from January 2022 to October 2023, where he produced and co-hosted popular YouTube shows and podcasts, growing their YouTube channel to an impressive 15,000 subscribers and over a million views within its first dedicated year. Building on his extensive experience in digital content and audience engagement, Wes Blankenship founded Big Story, LLC in October 2023, where he currently serves as Owner and Content Strategist.

In this role, he continues to develop and execute innovative content strategies, leveraging his proven track record in multimedia production, hosting, and building highly engaged online communities across diverse platforms.
